Rome Police Department officers were called out to the Chick-fil-A Wednesday at about 7 a.m. for reports of people found dead inside a car. Once officers arrived, they found the car with Anthony Green and Cassie Davis inside, according to WSB-TV.

Investigators learned that Green and Davis were a couple, the news outlet reported.

Investigators believe that Green shot and killed Davis before he turned the gun on himself, WSB-TV reported. Both Green and Davis were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Chick-fil-A restaurant said they will remain closed for the day and will reopen Thursday morning.

No information has been released about what led up to the apparent murder-suicide.
