Kiki Shepard, a TV and Broadway actress, was best known as the co-host of Showtime At The Apollo from 1987-2002. The show was filmed at Harlem’s famous Apollo Theater. Shepard died after suffering from a heart attack on Monday, a representative said. She was 74.
Shepard also founded The KIS Foundation, Inc., an organization that raised awareness, provided support and advocated for families dealing with Sickle Cell disease.
Shepard’s family will share memorial service details in the coming days.
