This is Professor Shawn Knight of Soul School Sunday and I have some terrible news to announce as Victor Wills, the lead singer of the Village People has passed away at the age of 74.
His wife made the announcement on his social media page that he passed away on June 30th after a short, but aggressive illness and asks for privacy during this difficult time.
Known for co-writing some of the Village People’s most known hits Macho Man and Y.M.C.A. which has gained attention from President Trump dancing to it at his rallies.
