Tank is giving his fans an update on a personal battle. We told you he said he’s suffering from hearing loss. The singer says he got his MRI results and “we didn’t see anything crazy in terms of the brain function connected to this ear.” Good news!
He says his physician is treating it as a “very severe case of vertigo.” His treatment plan includes steroids and medication for dizziness.
Tank took the opportunity to thank his fans, express his love for his work, and teach a lesson. The lesson:

R&B singer Tank reveals a very personal struggle. He says he’s going completely deaf in his right ear, and he’s losing some of his ability to hear in his left ear. The “When We” singer says he’s been “dizzy” and “can’t walk a straight line.”
How did it come about? Tank says the doctors are trying to figure that out and that it came out of “nowhere.” He says he’s had an MRI and is waiting for the results.
The idea of losing your hearing has to feel devastating for someone in a business that requires so much of this one sense. Tank seems to be in good spirits about it all. “Still hasn’t given me a reason to give up.” He says, “the goals are still the same.”
The 45-year-old says he hopes his story can help someone else continue their journey, so he’s documenting the process.
