Solutions and Transparency Was Made at Our Raising Boys To Men Dinner and Forum

Cox Media Group presented their first community forum of the year focusing on the young men of Duval County and surrounding areas with their Raising Boys To Men Dinner and Forum in their Farah and Farah Performance Studio.

Hosted by Shawn Knight with dinner provided by Ajua Mexican Kitchen and Bar along with our special guest panelist from the 100 Black Men of Jacksonville - Charles Griggs, Octavius Holliday, Pastor Korey O’Neil, and Diallo Sekou. They all provided insight on various topics: Mentorship and Role Modeling, Education and Opportunity, Raising Boys in Today’s World, Health, Wellness, and Economic Empowerment, and finally Community Impact and Legacy.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was when a young man mentioned that he wanted to become an attorney and a connection was instantly made with one of the panelist for him to get started on his way and a grandfather was there with his grandson and he wanted to become an aviator so the tools the forum was great motivation to help get him on his journey.
