Keith Wilder of Heatwave Passes Away

Keith Wilder, a member of the 70’s funk group Heatwave has passed away.  He was 65.

The group is known for their hits like, “Always and Forever”, “Boogie Nights” and “The Groove Line”.

The group was formed by his brother, Johnnie Wilder, Jr. in 1975.  Johnnie Wilder passed away more than 10 years ago.

Billy Jones, Wilder's cousin and bandmate tells Dayton.com that he had health problems.

The Dayton, OH native died in his sleep.  No cause of death has been revealed.
