When Keanu first came to L.A. at just 20 years old, his management told him he needed a โmore Hollywoodโ name. So, he tried to come up with something cool . . . and landed on Chuck Spadina โ inspired by his middle name Charles and the street he grew up on, Spadina! ๐๏ธ
But thatโs not all โ he also tried going by K.C. Reeves (for Keanu Charles), and was even credited that way once, in a 1986 Disney TV movie called Young Again. ๐ฅ
Eventually, though, he realized pretending to be someone else just didnโt feel right. He said, โTheyโd call โK.C. Reeves!โ in auditions and I wouldnโt even answer.โ Six months later, he dropped the act and decided to just be Keanu Reeves โ and the rest is movie history. ๐
Honestly, we can all agree: thereโs only ONE Keanu. ๐ซ(But โChuck Spadinaโ wouldโve made an amazing drop name ๐๐ธ)
