It’s A ”Family Matters” Reunion

One of your favorite 90’s TV shows is in the spotlight once again.

The cast of “Family Matters” (most of them) got together for a photo shoot.

The Winslow family along with their favorite neighbor and a family friend got together nearly 20 years after the show ended.

Jaleel White who we all know as the adorably clumsy and nerdy Steve Urkel on the beloved show posted the reunion pics on Instagram.

🤗 Major #TBT alert 🚨Sending love to @entertainmentweekly for a great day, lunch & reunion. In case you missed it: https://www.facebook.com/EWCastReunions/videos/1286458781481436/ And starting Friday, September 29th, all episodes of #FamilyMatters can be found on @hulu Which episode was your favorite? 🤔 Even I have a tough time with that question hmmm

Kellie Shanygne Williams (Laura Winslow), Darius McCrary (Eddie Winslow), Reginald Vel Johnson (Carl Winslow), Jo Marie Payton (Harriet Winslow), Telma Hopkins (Rachel Crawford), Bryton McClure (Richie Crawford), Shawn Harrison (Waldo Geraldo Faldo) were also there.

After the reunion White also posted a special message for his former co-star and TV girlfriend, Michelle Thomas. Thomas AKA Myra Monkhouse passed away in 1998.

Reunions of any kind can be tricky affairs mainly due to scheduling. Several members of the #FamilyMatters cast no longer reside in the state of California and they traveled quite a ways to share this one special day. And special it was! Darius is a fool (lol) Bryton (Not So Little Richie) is more mature than all of us now, Shawn and Kellie, you still have jokes...😝 No one was paid for our @entertainmentweekly gathering. It was done for YOU, the fans & to satisfy our own need to come together as a family. And to set the record straight, no one from #Netflix has ever contacted any of us to express an interest in doing a reboot. No hard feelings at all but that's the God's honest truth and life moves on with more blessings to come. But no reunion would be complete without me acknowledging our beloved Michelle Thomas 🙏🏽 This little ray of sunshine gave me some of the best physical comedy moments I'll ever play on screen. Michelle's smile never failed to brighten your day and I will forever miss my bubbly Myra Monkhouse #RIP 😔1968-1998 ❤️ I love you, Michelle #prayersup🙏🏽

According to White the reunion was hosted by Entertainment Weekly and apparently the actors were not paid for their appearance.

Notably missing is the youngest of the Winslow clan, the actress who played Judy Winslow.  (Side note:  Did you notice how they just acted like she never existed after a few seasons?   Maybe that’s why she wasn’t there.)

The reunion luncheon came ahead of the show making it’s debut on Hulu on September 29.
