Less than 6 months ago we told you Amanda Seales had joined the cast of a daytime talk show, The Real.
Well that was short-lived. The comedian/actress said on Instagram live that she has “arrived” after not renewing her contract.
Seales is very vocal about issues facing people of color and it seems like that’s the reason for her departure.
"Well you know what happened to me today. I have arrived. My contract is up at "The Real" and I did not renew it because it doesn't feel good to my soul to be at a place where I cannot speak to my people the way they need to be spoken to and where the people that are speaking to me in disparaging ways are not being handled. I'm not in a space where I can as a full black woman have my voice and my coworkers also have their voices and where the people at the top are not respecting the necessity for black voices to be at the top too."
The now former co-host of The Real also made it clear in another IG appearance that this is not about the women who sat at the table with her. She basically said she has nothing but love for Loni Love, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Adrienne Houghton and Jeannie Mai but it's time for her to do what grown women do.
