Bill Isles Has Passed Away at the Age of 78

An original member of the O’Jays has passed away.

William Carvan Isles, II was 78.

According to a story on blackamericaweb.com, Isles' son told a newspaper his father died from cancer last month.

Bill Isles quit the group in 1965 but not before being featured on songs that include Lonely Drifter & Lipstick Traces.

Isles passed away in his Southern California home.

The funeral was Saturday.
